The online application
form for the 15th Course Session (2025-2027) for the written entrance
examination of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy Armed Forces Preparatory
Institute, Mohali, 2025, will be released at https://recruitment-portal.in.
The application link
will be available from December 1, 2024, until December 31, 2024, and
candidates must complete the application on their own behalf. One must save the
acknowledgement slip that gets generated after successfully submitting the
application form for username and password, which will be used at the time of
downloading the admit cards.
The eligibility
criteria for the armed forces recruitment process are as follows: only Punjab
residents are eligible, and they must be studying a Board's Matriculation
(10th) program. The birth date must fall between July 2, 2008, and January 1,
2011.
The examination,
tentatively scheduled for January 12, 2025, will be held at designated centres
in Punjab (Mohali, Jalandhar, and Bathinda), based on the number of
applications received. The admit cards will provide detailed addresses for the
examination centers. No travel or dearness allowance will be provided for the exam
or subsequent tests or interviews. Written test results will be available one
week after the exam. Candidates are advised to visit the institute's website
and recruitmentportal.in.
An interview, a
written exam, and a medical examination are all part of the admissions
procedure for the Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI programme. To get into the
interview and medical test phases, candidates need to pass the written exam.
Until December 31, 2025, candidates may pay online for their applications by
completing an online form on the recruitment portal. The application form can
be filled out online from December 1 to December 31, 2024. Candidates can
correct any incorrect information up to 5:00 PM on December 31, 2024, but after
that, no editing will be allowed. Candidates must apply online only and upload
their latest passport-size photographs with a cross sign, not older than three
months.
Candidates are advised
to retain the printed copy of their application form after the completion of
the admissions process. For any issues, they can contact the C-DAC help line
at recruitment-portal@cdac.in. Candidates should also visit the recruitment
portal regularly for important information and updates. A candidate must
provide his or her correct mobile number and email address. If they are unable
to print the form, they should retry the process. The list of confirmed fee
candidates will be displayed on the recruitment portal starting January 4,
2025. Candidates can download their admit cards by entering their registration
number and password. If unable to obtain the admit card, candidates must
contact C-DAC Mohali personally or on helpline numbers two days before the
examination. The examination will be held on January 12th, 2025, tentatively at
10:30 a.m. Candidates' names for interviews will be available on both the AFPI
Punjab and recruitment portals. The venue date and time of the interview will
be announced separately on the C-DAC website. The course has an approximate
number of 48 seats, subject to minor changes.
Candidates must arrive
at the examination centre two hours before the start of the written
examination, presenting their admit card, passport-size photographs, and
identity proof (Aadhar Card or School Identity Card signed by the principal).
Without a valid photo identity proof, candidates will not be allowed to
participate.
Eligibility conditions
for admission are essential, and the selection process is based on being found
eligible. Verification of original documents will be conducted during the
interview, which will only be available to successful candidates. Failure to
establish the veracity of any documents at the time of the interview will result
in the candidate's candidature being cancelled.
The written exam will
consist of 150 objective-type questions from mathematics, English, and social
studies, with answers recorded on an OMR sheet. The paper will be three hours
long, and negative marking will be applied for wrong answers.
Candidates should
bring either blue or black ball pens, and books, written notes, calculators,
mobile phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices will not be
permitted in the examination hall. Candidates who have already passed Class
10th and are currently studying in Class 11th may apply, but must repeat Class
11th if selected for admission to AFPI.
